Contact us. For additional information, please contact the project coordinators, Celina Su and Peter Muennig. Celina Su teaches Political Science at Brooklyn College, City University of New York. She received a Ph.D. in Urban Studies from MIT, where she was a recipient of the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship, and a B.A. Honors from Wesleyan University. Her interests lie in the role of civil society in social policy, especially in the nexus of cultural politics, grassroots groups, and education or health policy. She has published studies on forms of civic engagement other than electoral strategies by marginalized groups, i.e., participatory governance and social movements. In the past, Celina has also engaged in other projects examining the role of social institutions in policy, at MIT, the Brookings Institution, and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Peter Muennig is a professor at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. He attended medical school at the University of California San Diego and completed a public health residency at the New York City Department of Health/Columbia University residency program. There, he conducted a number of research projects including a study of the cost-effectiveness of treating parasites in immigrant populations and the department of health’s refugee medical screening exam protocol. He has worked as a cost-effectiveness consultant for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Canada, and for various medical schools. Peter has published numerous studies in the medical literature and has contributed to academic publications and governmental reports. His book, Designing and Conducting Cost-Effectiveness Analysis in Medicine and Health Care, was recently published by Jossey-Bass (John Wiley and Sons).
